Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

I can’t thank the LCBO enough for releasing this beer. Reddish brown colour with very little head. Incredibly tart on the nose and in flavour. Notes of sour cherry, vinous and delicous.

Poured a pleasant brown with red highlights and a large fizzy off-white head. The aroma was of grapes, apples and berries, a nice fruity bouquet. The flavor and mouthfeel were not unlike Champagne, a bit sour but sweet and fruity with a nice level of carbonation. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it was very different from any of my previous experiences with beer.

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of berries, apple, grape, oak and a hint of vinegar. Palate was light bodied crisp and tart. Flavors of fruittiness, oak, light straw and a faint hint of spice with a crisp lingering tart finish.

Bottle. Reddy brown with very thin off white head. Sour fruity nose, very interesting with some stale beer. Cherries and red fruit, sour but not overly so in the mouth with more red cherry fruit and then pleasant sour sweet finish

Bottle (33 cl) from Hildigöltur’s beer cellar. Deep clear ryby with a small off-white head. Fruity and cidery aroma with red apples, raspberries, wood, and also some fudgy notes. Light in body with a lively carbonation. A very refreshing acidity, not overpowering, just perfect. A truly great beer.

750ML bottle. Nice think head which diminishes rather quickly. Colour of ale is deep red, almost mahogany. Strong vinegar and sweet to sour notes in the aroma. Initial taste is very sour but quickly even out to a very nice, almost dry finish. Wonderfully full bodied!

750 ml thanks to JRob_21. Very sour aromas of cherry and fruit. Huge head on a reddish brown pour. Flavors were not as tart as I had expected from the aroma. Tartness is there, but gives way to some serious sweet cherry flavor, then comes back in for tart and acidic in the finish. Very Tasty.
