bgburdman9 (708), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2008 Poured a medium brown with reddish hues. Aroma was of sourness, cherries, fruity and a little yeast. Flavor was a little tart and sour. Not much acidity or excessive sweetness which was good. Pretty good sour that i enjoyed a lot.

Palate is chock full of liquered morello cherries with substantial tart dryness on the finish. Flavor is full of tartness, with a symphony of medium malts and dark fruits just behind it. Really a great beer, on par with Duchess de Borgogne, one of my favorite beers. If you like sour ales, you have to try this one. Sour cherry aroma. Sour, tart flavor of cherries, currents, & dark fruit. This one was a little intense; I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but it was a nice change of pace. NIce after dinner sipper. Aroma of sour, oak, cherries, some vanilla and caramel as well. Taste is sour at first and a bit sweet and watery in the finish. Currants and sour cherries. Odd mouthfeel of syrupyness with some fizz.
