COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Poured from a 750ml bottle. Lovely bearded red with carbonation spritzing up the glass. Aromas were a bit muted, but mostly appealing sweet caramel and rose water type sweetness. Body was a bit thin and heavily carbonated for my sour ale taste, but overall very pleasing with more uncoying sweetness and tending towards a citrus type sourness. I shared this with friends and it was a splendid introduction to sour ales!

Difficult to say but I do notice some complex fruity flavors. Anyway, One of my all time favorites.

Bottle poured a murky reddish brown with a small tan head that dissapated immediately and minimal lacing. Aroma is big strawberry preserves with hints of soy sauce and oak. Taste begins with subtle tartness and oaky vanilla followed by a wave of palatable sour berry notes. Crisp refreshing finish with enjoyable tart flavors lingering.

Goede balans van de zuren. Fruitig en complex door de houtlagering. Zal nog beter worden met verouderen.

Never had a Flanders Red before. Much sweeter and not as sour than I thought it would be. Prefer the lighter feel with greater sour notes of Lambics. I would drink this again , but its not something that I would go out and buy another bottle of.

Fruity, slightly tart aroma. Nicely balanced taste for a sour; slight carbonation makes it very drinkable.

330ml bottle. Brown colour with a red tinge, thin beige head and sour cherry, vinegary barnyard aroma. Taste is tart, with dark fruit, woody oak and some biscuity malt. Sharp initial mouth feel, medium bodied, well carbonated, dry finish. Balanced overall.

330 ml bottle, at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6% Pours a very deep ruby red colour, with a two fingers of beige head on top. Good retention, no lacing on the glass. Colour is beautiful. Aroma of sour grapes and a bit of wild cherries too. Very wine-y and inviting. Sweet taste at first, turns straight away to a mildly sourness, which also brings wines to mind. Lots of grapes on the taste, sour ones, and some sweetness from the sugar to balance it a bit. Nice on the body, but a bit overcarbonated me thinks. Just a tiny bit tart on the palate. Overall, a very nice beer.

On tap at slows. The classic, ultimate sour. Smooth but with a bite of flavor. Complex but subtle aroma. One of my all time favs ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home - gift from Brugge. Murky brown on pouring, but clear and deep red under light. Little or no head which dissipates quickly. Aroma shows obvious acetic character but is somehow extremely well balanced. Acetic aroma is balanced with a combination of earthiness, oak, and crystal/cara malt aromas. Taste is tart and sour (think raw lemon) yet very refreshing despite % ABV. Mouthfeel is full and sweet but quickly gives way to a dry finish. Highly Recommended.

Decent enough basic sour. Pours murky brown with a head that dissipated quickly and no lacing. Nose is sour. Aromas are fruit punch, some light caramel, dough and sour. Tastes are reasonably heavy sour and light sweet. Full enough body with medium carbonation.
