4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 750ml bottle. Lovely bearded red with carbonation spritzing up the glass. Aromas were a bit muted, but mostly appealing sweet caramel and rose water type sweetness. Body was a bit thin and heavily carbonated for my sour ale taste, but overall very pleasing with more uncoying sweetness and tending towards a citrus type sourness. I shared this with friends and it was a splendid introduction to sour ales!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Bon Repas. Pours a murky red-brown, head vanished quickly. Aroma of vinegar, cherries, oak, a deep sweetness like caramel. Lovely flavour, tart and refreshing berries, wood notes, rich fruit juice. Has a real effervescence, quite light with a slight lingering vinous alcohol feel, slightly puckery. Great stuff.

33 cl från Dranken geers. Riktig trevlig öl. Luktar lite gammalt vin men smakar fantastiskt.

Une bière vraiment originale et sympathique !
Un bon goût de bière vieillie en foudre de chaîne. Si vous aimez la duchesse de Bourgogne celle ci a moyen de plaire énormément.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keskiruskea, samea olut vaahtoaa kohtalaisesti. Pieni vaahtoreunus säilyy lasin reunoilla. Tuoksu hapan, viinimäinen, kirsikkainen ja varsin makea. Maku hapan, kuiva, kirsikkainen ja omenainen. Melko pitkä jälkimaku on kuivan ja happaman kirsikkainen ja jopa hieman etikkainen. Keskitäyteläinen, loppujen lopuksi aika sokerisen makea suutuntuma.

Vintage 1982: Poured a dark brown with a nice cap of light tan head. Great retention and small tight lacing that is slightly soapy. The aroma and taste are definitely sour but it was not overpowering to me as they tend to me. It is lighter bodied and smooth.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle - Clear reddish amber colour, small but lasting off-white head. Intense fruity and oakish aromas, some sour cherry, dates, fig, apple, wooden and earthy notes. Taste is very complex and well rounded, sour cherry, apple, fig, vanilla, oak, some cereals, red grapes. Extremely well balanced sourness, fruitiness, bitterness and the oak notes make this beer really great. Medium, crisp body, lively carbonation, dry and fruity finish. Great beer, definitely recommended.

Bottle (07.07.2016). Aroma of apple vinegar, and a little bit of fruit wine. Brown-ish colour, and literally no head. Fruity taste - green apple, a little bit spicy. Intense acidic sourness. Medium body, low carbonation. Mouthfeel resembles wine. Very unique and worth trying

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Just about clear, ruby red. Thin, dense, lasting, beige head. Nose has old, macerated black cherry. Warmed balsamic vinegar. Notes of fig and dried date. Some sweet cinnamon malts. Smells fantastic. Taste is light, fruity, cinnamon sweet. Earthy, stone fruit dryness. Mostly, though it’s lightly tangy, unripe cherry sour. Smooth, soft mouthfeel. Soft tang. Low acidity. Finishes sweet, and tangy, and lightly sour, and all points in between. One of those I’ve looked at and wondered if it’s a tick, and it was. I think this was less than 3 quid. Wow.
