A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Bottle (330ml). Age roughly 1 year piror to tasting. Poured dark burnt bronze with a good sized, lightly tanned, dense foamy head which was mostly lasting. A complex aroma with notes of citric acid, dried apricots, dates, port, cinnamon, allspice, wood, light notes of rum & raisin chocolate and a touch of caramel in the back. Flavor was of tart fruit acids with sour cherries & raspberries, tart lemon, balsamic vinegar, salt, allspice, light note of fermenting plums and hints of wood in the finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry/tart mouthfeel, slick texture and a good length finish.

Served in chalice. Deep red slight brown colour. Little head soon disappeared .aroma of dark cherry, red wine, oak. Tart with sweetness. A very complex mouth. Tanninic oak. Once allowed to breath, warmed and become subtle. Taste buds started to really enjoy.

When pouring in the glass, this beer yields a modest ivory head that soon disappears. The aroma is slightly fruity-sour. The taste is very complex ranging from fruity over sour to malty, with quite some alcohol punch. This is a beer not for every day, but very complex and a nice example of a Sour beer without being too sour.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Mostly clear red orange color. Thin ring of off-white head. Awesome dark fruit, cherry, light wood notes. Light woody spice. Good sour taste, moderate sweet. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick, light dry. Awesome to finally try this classic. Definitely meets expectations.

Skābens, maigi līmīgs un nedaudz sidrīgs, bet tiešām nedaudz. Tumšs - gandrīz bez putas. Ar iekšējo gāzi. Aroma char: mandeļu-rozīņu saldējums

Bottle. Red brown colour. Aroma of red fruits, red wine, sour fruits, barrel. Taste: sour, fruits, red wine, barrel. More balanced than regular version and sour is a bit lower than in Rodenbah.Dry finish, long aftertaste. Very interesting beer.
