COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Duped into thinking it was a typical Belgian Strong at a tasting -- ended up being a drain pour. Sour and beer don’t mix for me. Could think of one descriptive word - vinegar.

Bottle nfrom DON store in Kuzuha. Woody nose, with red wine-like notes, caramel, vinegar, and berries. Dark reddish/brown color. Gentle initial sourness, berries, and wood and more wood. Very earthy in mid palate, with a complex dark fruit character. Final moves between light sweet and ripe dark fruit. Medium thin body, moderate astringency. Good, complex flavors and more delicate than most US acid burner sour beers. It’s been a while since I’ve had this, and I had forgotten how good it is.

This is grand! I like the body and the beer qualities that are not over powered by the sourness. Aroma is sour cherries, oak, faint vinegar, and a slight floral note. Taste is awesome: lots of malt/beer backbone that is punctuated by the sour cherries, grannysmith apples and faint vinegar. Finish is fizzy, bright and fruity. Overall, it’s just fantastic.

bottle at Känguruh Pub. redish hazy color. very little head. smells sour, apple vinegar and some marzipan. medium body, sour, some cherry, a bit too much like vinegar for me. quite a lot of carbonation. will give this another try.

Bottle. Deep copper/amber. Vinegar, wood, sour aroma. The taste adds fruit juice, cherries and grapes, tart bitterness and red wine tannins. Reminds me of black cherry soda. Long finish. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Didn’t know this was a sour beer, what a surprise. Deep red brownish color, nice yellowish head. Nose is... oh what, it stinks like vinegar! Aroma is balsamic winegar nonetheless, with some winey overtones and red must. But in the finish some malts are trying to resurface. Taste is, surprise surprise, sour. Light to medium body, carbonated. I don’t like this thing at all. Seems like this is gone bad, no way i can appreciate this. May be good as salad dressing?

Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja (€ 3.99). Pours a murky brown with a mahogany hue and a nicely retaining tan head. Nose... dusty and woody, definitely some oak, a slight fruity tartness, and an indistinct spiciness. Metallic notes. Taste is very refreshing with fruits and berries in the forefront (cherries, redcurrants), very sweet, very sour, vinous acidity, the spicier notes of oak joining in a bit later. Body thick with a syrupy sticky palate, carbonation average... It’s so sticky I can’t go without another sip for more than 30 seconds. A very good beer - reminds me of homemade apple juice with cherries gone slightly bad.

Aroma: sour, acidic, apple, cider, oak. Appearance: hazy, dark brown, creamy, beige head. Taste: light sour. Palate: sours continue, oaky, getting a little bit bitter in the finish, slightly dry, apples again, soft carbonation. Overall: quite an interesting Sour Brown, nice palate. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.

Fruity and roasted malt aroma. Light sourness. A special aftertaste comes long after the sip. It reminds of oven dried olive in the pizza.

arome de torrefaction, geuze,... Goût fort nuancé. C’est une rouge des flandres avec un léger goût de lambic doux. L’arriere gout reste et évolue. Bière interressante.

Red color. Beige foam formation has low altitude and long duration. Balanced beer that denotes a light tart red fruit. Medium bitterness bubbling and comes to tickle the tongue. Very well balanced and shows a more acetic touch. Soft, sweet and sour body. Beautiful delicacy.
