3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma has some cherries, but they are a but musty and muted. Appearance is very dark, almost opaque, reddish-brown. Thin, light grey lingering head. I prefer the flavor of the regular Rodenbach to this one. This is very tart and sour, with some vinegar, cherry, cranberry and red wine. It seems that the oak has added a dank, barnyard quality. Very complex and reminiscent of a gueuze in some aspects.

Nice tart flavor. Drank very much like a wine. You get a bit of barn yard funk and complexity from the various bacterial strains.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a deep coppery producing a large and creamy-looking tan head. Aroma of (balsamic)vinegar, wood, malts and fruits. Taste is mellow acidic, with notes of sweet malts and fruits. There is also some faint bitterness here adding to the complexity. Nice smooth mouthfeel, abit prickly due to the fairly high levels of co2. Finishes quite dry with a lasting, slightly tart fruityness.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A much more tart version of the standard Rodenbach offering. Reminded me of Oud Tart by The Bruery except it had more depth of character. Tehee was something just more rounded about it. Very subtle hints of vanilla and stone fruit to back up the tartness (which does not overwhelm).
