3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Thorpe429 (4844) - , Illinois, USA - AUG 5, 2012Served in a Rodenbach goblet. Pours a reddish-brown color without too much of a head. Nose is very heavy cherry Jolly Rancher character. Flavor is similar. Fairly tart. Not too complex. Interesting move with the twist off cap.

had one in the kulminator . they were all out but find some, this was the very very last one they had of those ’ founded bottles’ so i guess i am very lucky here !
tastes very sweet cherries, even after al the aging ( will keep good to 2006 , how old aint this than? 2004 ? ) if you search good you can still taste the rodenbach caracter, but the sweetness is overwhelming on this one. i also got some kind of ’old cany’ taste wich i dont like at all. sugars maybe? prob wasnt there fresh... but overall better than expected !

Bright reddish amber pour with an off-white head. Nose is just like cherry soda and candy. A bit of tartness, mostly vinegar, with a hint of lemon. There’s a fair amount of metal and some grass, too. Tastes overwhelmingly sweet. A ton of cherry, but more like a soda than anything. Sugar, light vinegar tartness, and some metallic notes.

Bottle @ Kulminator. BB 06/06. Pours cloudy golden with a small bubbly head. Juicy cherries and a bit of dark fruit. A little metallic. Smooth and dry. Quite quenching.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike!
The beer appears a dark crimson color with minimal head and sparse lacing. The aroma is sweet, offering cherries, hints of nail polish. Just OK. The flavor is sweet, almost like a Shirley Temple, with a pronounced maraschino cherry taste. Light in body, and easy to swill. The sweetness renders this best in small quantities. Still, always fun to try a new beer, let alone one brewed by Rodenbach.

Doftar gammalt telt och metall. Lite söt metallisk bärsmak och et ganska stort källarpregl

Reddish purple with a small pinkish head. Extremely drinkbable, almost like cherry juice but with some good sourness. Thin and sweet but I liked it anyway.

some Vintage bottle@Kulminator: deep red colour, smells like some kind of cherry cocktail mixed with some musty & sour cherries, taste is like cherry juice & cherry cocktail, some cherry candy, mixed with something you would get if you tried making a traditional kriek outside of Pajottenland (musty, rotting & sour cherries), some vinegar, overall a strange clash between two sides of this beer with the latter clearly having developed largely with aging, medium body & carbonation, slightly oily
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BelgBeerGeek (1263) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAR 14, 2011
bottle at kulminator
head: none
colour: deep cherry red
smell: vintage , sweet , cherry candys , cocktail cherry , rodenbach yeast/malts ( sour )
taste: not what i expected , i expected a very sweet beer , but it tend out to be a more rodenbach like style , ( so a bit sour ) with a mild sweet cherry taste in it ... end is oily and skunky/sour malty ( like a oud bruin ) aftertaste is almunds/earthy ... actually not that bad ...
