UPDATED: JUL 19, 2016 37,5 cl bottle, 2004 ed @ Kulminator, Antwerpen. Amber colour, clear, no head. Amazingly rich sweet cherry, aged porto tones, wood, just lightly sour, quite an alcoholic heat. Beautifully lingering aftertaste, sweet porto cherries, perfectly balanced. Huge body, absent carbonation, sticky mouthfeel.

Theydon_Bois (16472) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2016
Bottle split at Kenny 20K, big thanks to Harrisoni, 15/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is vinegar strokes, tarte fruit esters, burnt cherry tones, straw, spice, fruit balsams. Taste comprises cherry balsams, rising acidity, funk, wood must, grain, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, pissy strokes in the close. Ok ... but hasn’t aged that gracefully ... a touch raw.

Leighton (18075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2016
Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K tasting - London. Huge thanks to Ian for this oldie! Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose is all vinegar. Lightly sweet, sharply acetic, with strong vinegar character, vague fruity notes. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with more sharp acetic bite. A bit harsh overall. This one is most likely over the hill.

Aroma is sour funk, citrus, , Flavour is composed of light funk, tangy, stale, onion, pithy lemon. Palate is sweet and tangy, lowish carbonation. A bit stale and flabby. Wasn’t a huge fan of this.

Bottle share at Ken’s 20K. Many thanks to Ian for bringing this one! As ’Rodenbach Vin de Céréale’. Paper covered 2004 vintage, 10%, #016044. Dark orange with no head. Aroma is varnish, glue, vinegar, apple. Body is rounded, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is quite harsh, acidic, glue, apple, varnish, booze. Quite rough really. Lacking balance. I struggled with this one.
