Bottle, thanks to larsniclas. Reddish/orange/amber color, no head. Vinegar aroma, cork, woody, sourish, fruity, woody notes. Fklavor first brings vinegar and rather sour notes, then turns alittle moer fruity. Sour finish with some fruits and citrus.

Bottle: Thanx to Niclas: Clear red colour, with a flat head. Aroma of citrus, big sournes, some maltynes in the end. Flavor was almost the same here, has the sournes and the maltynes, and has a medium body and a dry fruity fnish.

2008-03-03. Crisp headless amber body. Fruity notes are first impression, lightly funky sourness, cherry or peach pits, sweet caramel or brandy notes struggles and fails to make a showing. Aroma gets sweeter as it warms. (7+) Sour flavour is refreshingly lightly mouth puckering, muted malt undertones are gently over powered by the sour. Mild fruit accents fair slightly better, making brief but more frequent appearances. Alcohol is virtually invisible in the flavour. [Random insertion - Holy cow the trappist cheese croquettes are amazing!] Smooth average palate. (3+) Sourness is refreshing but conversely limits how much of this I would like to drink in a sitting. Quite interesting.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with no head whatsoever. Intense, tart aroma yet with a cake-like sweetness - kinda like macaroon pie. Medium body, almost flat with tart and almost fruity accents, some wood and then these cake-like accents. Tart and astringent finish. A very complex and wonderful beer. 120308

Bottle, huge thanks goes out to MORHI for this bad boy! Aroma is wonderful, aged sour beer but funky and musty and yea justy fuckin awsome, red wine vinigar, grainy notes, alc no where to be seen, hints of green apple skin but amazingly balanced and never overpowering. Taste is tart fruits, never ovrpowering, sharp but balanced, grainy however no alc showing, slips down soo easily, my god possibly the easiest 10% ale thats ever been made. This is a master piece, this is something new for all the world too see, rodenbach and turned it upside down and said"hey we’re not just a macro that slips out a bit of grand cru for the beer geeks" they’ve shown us they are jenious and well deserved as a monumental high 5.

Bottle that Duff bought in Waagstuk, Antwerp. Now I know that I will be going against the grain here and I do promise to lay down a bottle I have bought and will re-rate in a few years time, but at the moment, I just don’t get the hype about this beer. Clear orange amber colour with no head. Lambicky sour aroma. Bit of plastic. Actually no it’s petrol. OK in mouth, but the finish is too acidic for me. Granary bread soaked in red wine vinegar springs to mind in terms of flavours.

Bottle. Very low and quickly disappearing head. Clear cobber body. Vinegar grapefruity aroma and flavor with a sour and spicy edge. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at Plan B - shared with Mette. Clear golden (a bit like applejuice) - no head. Grains, high grainy, sweetness, light winegummi, nice souness, vinous, corn, light light rubber, citric, brett, bikeglue, light vinegar. Complex.

37,5cl bottle. Pours clear copper (into my rodenbach glass) with no head at all. Quite disappointing looks - but the aroma is overwhelmingly interesting. Very sweet, strong, complex/concentrated, vinous , woody & fruity - Wauw! Flavor has a sour & warm twist with an unmistakebly barrel/cask domination. Sticky & oily palate. Soft & low carbonation. So very complex & great! This is artwork!

3rd Annual Woodshop Tasting, 3/1/08. Thanks Chris! What an intrigue of a brew! Very chardonnay like with a poweful white grape influence, pear, wood notes in the background, and lightly sweet malts. Damn delicious and would love to re-visit.
