Medium body, moderate effervescence, smooth. Tons of spicy, tart cherries, nice funk, beautiful; dry with good tartness and limited bitterness and a long, spicy, alcohol sting, cherry finish.

Vintage 2010, barrel 144. Vintage tastes like a more robust version of the half priced Rodenbach Classic. Notes of cherry, apple, wood, cider vinegar, soft malt and a hint of sweetness. It has all the familiar characteristics of a classic Flanders Ale, but this one balances them perfectly for me.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2009 Bottle, opened at christmas 2012, Red clear, typical Rodenbach colour, minimal white head. Lots of sparkling. Aroma is sour: cherries, green apple, vinegar, oak, leather. Taste is really nice. The sourness is predominantly present. Cherries and apples can be discriminated. Finish is tart and long. Lively carbonation.
Great beer, refreshing, A sad side of this large bottle is the huge amount of sourness in my stomach, that is not always appreciated. But hey, itís worth every drop!

It certainly has the Rodenbach redness but the sourness is much stronger. This beer is a distant cousin from Kriek, but it's sourness comes more from vinegar than from fruit. Great as an aperitive to replace bubbles.

2008 Vintage. Both the aroma and flavor smell and taste of Vinegar, sour cherry, straw, yeast. Though not my favorite style this would be very refreshing in hot weather.

Bomber. 2008 vintage. Thanks to mike12da. Sharp sour apple initial -- though not as biting as the regular Rodenbach. Hazy ruby color. Good sour apple initial; mid is smooth and not very acid-like; final leaves a tingling sourness. Thin. Definitely less acid attack than the regular version. The oak mellows it out a lot. Pleasant and very refreshing.

My New Year 2013 beer a 2010 Vintage...Pours a clear reddish brown color with a quickly dissipating head. Smell is Cherry, vinegar, wood. Taste is a touch of the acidic vinegar up front then the cherry and fruit hit followed by the dry wood at the back end. Medium body with nice active refreshing carbonation. I have a soft spot for Rodenbach and this beer certainly does not let me down. It will be served with brunch in the morning as well!
