COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

75cl bottle from systembolaget bs. Pours red brown with nice short head. Fruity, sour aroma with taste that follows. Very sour with cherries and some tropical fruits. After taste is also very sour. Sour beers is not my thing, if you like sour beer this is probably up there with the best.

You cannot deny this beer as been held in wooden barrel. The first taste is acidic, and the aftertaste is - as the aroma - woody.

Ont goűte fort le chęne dans lequel elle a été murie. Une acidité vient directement en bouche mais s’estompe vite.

Vintage 2012. Barrel number 170. Abundant gaseous substance upon opening the bottle. Sour and a little bit sweet.

Aroma: intensive red wine notes, barrel, sour. Appearance: nice deep amber color, beige head. Taste: low bitterness, red wine notes, really sour, acid, barrel notes, vanilla, vinegar. Palate: medium body and high carbonation, sour finish. Overall: Really specific taste, intensive red wine notes, interesting.

-short review- Vintage 2012. Red with small head. Aroma is cherries, vinegar, green apples, oxidized- and cork notes. Sweet and sour palate and finish. Overall: Not my cup of beer.

750ml bottle, 2010 Vintage. Red-amber color. Aroma is fruity vinegar notes. Taste is amazingly balanced sourness.

Vintage 2011 Clear dark amber-red color. Medium head that dissipates. Got some yeast(dead or alive...) at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, some caramel and some oak notes. Very good. Vintage 2012 was a bit too much acetic acid. Taste is ballanced, cherry, sweet caramel, oak, lactic and acetic acid. Medium to heavy carbonation and medium body. Finish is tart with some bitter notes, aftertaste the some with nice, not too aggrevice tartness. Amazing. Vintage 2012 is more acetic vinegar everywhere. Not off ballance but a totally different experience with balsamic vinegar and oak being the main character. I would rate it at around ~3.8.
