4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance is dark amber red with a rocky white to beige head.
Aroma is hugely complex with different layers that reveals themselves, wood, sour apples, prunes, malt, vanilla, lactic sourness. Taste is gentle and smooth, sour cherry’s, wood, malt, lactic sourness, acetic feeling at the throat, aftertaste is short with sour apples and cherry’s.
I compare this to a whisky. Generally you blend different casks to create a better product, however sometimes a cask or "foeder" in this concept is so good that it needs no blending. A magnificent sour ale!

Great example of a flanders red. Vinegar nose, perfect amount of pucker. Not over the top. Highly drinkable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle purchased at Carlsbad Pizza Port bottle shop. Poors a deep mahogony with slight head that fades quickly. Aroma of wood, cherry, sour fruits. Flavors the same, and much better. Slight vinegar detected, but it didn’t effect the score on this one. A+ Loved it.!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted at the Triple Rock Sour Fest on 2/8/10. This sour ale pours a medium amber color from a 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, cherry, tart and funky with a touch of wood. A medium bodied sour. The malts are fruity mostly cheery. Touch of oak, some more funk and some more cherry. Nice beer. It has the tartness of a grand cru, but it much mellower with a nice mild oak influence. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2010 Bottle shared in the layer with plovmand and on Ølbaren.
Pours dark amber-red with a dense and foamy tan head.
The aroma is lovely, light balsamic, with oak, prunes and raisins.
Flavour is nicely balanced with a caramel base, balsamic and oaky notes a light sour twist and a hint of raisins.
Its a bit thin on the palate but still very smooth.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sample from somebodys bottle at the Veritas release. Lightly hazed rusty brown with a small bubbly off white ring. Nice tart nose of cherries, dry oak and other berry fruits, some vinous notes in there as well. Great stuff way better than the regular stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very nice and complex nose, caramel, wine, cherries, hints of old wood. The flavour is lovely but lacks complexity and depth, being nevertheless a beer I’d drink whenever possible.
