Bottle at unibaren, 15 / 6 2013. Vintage 2007. I had no idea what to expect. Dark brown red, white ring. Aroma, malty sweet, sour, red friuts. Taste, I was really surprised, malty wine up front, and then sour, and I like it. Best sour I’ve had.

2008 Vintage. Pours a dirty brownish red with a small quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is vinegar, farmy and wet blanket. Taste is tart, wet blanket, somewhat floral and an overall oak dryness and wood. Fantastic.

2009 Vintage. Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a hazy red-tan color with a small foamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart and tangy cherries, raspberry, vinegar and soy sauce. The flavor was very tart, tangy and bitter with a strong sour cherry, raspberry and vinegar presence. Long tart and sour cherry and berry finish. Medium body. Nice.

2010. Fût numéro 144. Vintage est un liquide rougeâtre qui montre, au départ, un beau collet mousseux. Le nez de ce brassin est à la hauteur de mes attentes. Le chêne fait un travail remarquable. Les notes fruitées sont douces et perdent des parfums aigres très intéressants. Le côté malté est complexe, voire même riche. Ça sent bon. Les saveurs sont celles d’un vin de fruits aigres de grande qualité. Le foudre de chêne et les malts sont des parfumeurs redoutables: les notes boisées et caramélisées sont enrobantes et apportent une richesse extraordinaire et un sublime équilibre. En bouche, le liquide a un corps de moyenne densité. Le pétillement est doux et la texture huileuse. La finale est un habile mélange de notes aigres qui attaquent doucement les tissus de ma langue.

Mine notater sier bare voj, voj, denne har alt - frukt, bær, sødme, syre og friskhet, alt harmonisk avrundet. Min dannelsesreise innen surøl fortsetter!

Rating # 1100. Couple of samples from 75 cl. bottle, 2007 Vintage. Hazy, red-amber colour with a small, white head. Tart aroma with ripe cherries, wood, marzipan, leather, acidic - vinegar, light vanilla and a good amount of caramel malts. Excellent, very complex. Taste is light sour, but you can taste the caramel malts. Medium body, soft carbonation. Finishes long lasting tart and dry with fruits - cherries, red grapes and apples. Excellent experience. Acidity and sweetness is so well balanced.

Awesome brew overall with a beautiful Burgundian pour and foamy off white head. Noted sourness on the nose with toffee and caramel notes. Sweet taste up front with sourness on the back end, nice balance with hints of light fruity sweetness.

sour aroma. Brownish red beer, off white head. Taste is light sweet berries, light sourness. Not as radical tasting as fruit lambics but maybe some how better because of the refinement.

2010 vintage, barrel no 144. Hazy reddish brown color, white head. Aroma is oak, sweetness, plums, sour, berries. Balanced, sour, cherries, refreshing.

Barrel 144. Smells a little like vinegar and tart sour cherries in an extremely pleasant way. It’s a beautiful deep red with clear bubbles that leave behind slender legs. Flavor follows aroma, just astounding and much like tart cherries. Very light and refreshing on the palate. I wish I could drink this all day every day.
