Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

Bottle at home. 2007 label on the bottle. Shared by Meilby, many thanks! Poured a clear reddish brown with no head. Aromas of grapefruit, plums and berries. Lightly sour or good wine taste. Feels like it’s been stored on a cognac barrel. Really enjoyable and delicious!

Rodenbach flight at Ushers (Grand cru, Rosso, Vintage, Caractere rouge). Pours deep ruby. Nose is sourish, oak, tart cherries, apples. Taste is sour, wood, apples, fruits, cherries, vinegar but also sweetness. Quite similar to Caractere rouge but finish lacks some elegance Caractere has. Anyway, excellent stuff.

Bottle gift from SJ. Another good brew by this company. Nice notes of wood, sour / tart fruits. vinegar, vanilla and cherry. There is a lot going on here, but they manage to pull it all together nicely.

Heerlijk zuur aroma. Mooi robijnrood van kleur met crème kleurige schuimkraag. Je ruikt krieken, rood fruit, eik. Super zacht van smaak met warme afdronk met klein subtiel zuurtje. Topbier.

375 ml corked bottle 2012 vintage from Etre Gourmet.
Deep copper, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, moderately lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of oak, vanilla, cherries, sweet and sour berries, red apples, some vinegar.
Tastes of sweet barrel notes, vanilla, cherries, sweet berries, apples, ripe fruits, honey, some vinegar, subtle leather.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with just enough carbonation.
Finishes smooth, sweet-sour, moderate dry, wooden, fruity.

Tasty. Quite sweet, but very well balanced, with lovely barrel notes and loads of sweet and sour fruit notes. Not my favourite Rodenbach (which is Caractère Rouge), but another highly enjoyable one.

Pours in a reddish brown color with a small white head that disappear rather quickly. The aroma is quite sweet with cherries, apple, pears, nutty and some earth tones. Flavours. Cherries, vinegar, tart, oak and earth tones...

75cl. Opaque ruby with a frothy tan head. Tarty aromas of sour apples, cherries, caramel. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Thin and dry, but very rich. Strong caramel fruity sourness with a heavy sour finish. Very pleasant.
