even if it isn’t the best in the world, this one will always be a faithfull companion of mine. Always pleased to find this on an otherwise boring list. How super to live in a country where a beer like this costs about the same amount of money as macro swill. Though this might exactly be belgiums (beery) problem...

Draft at RnH with Linh. Pours a deep, hazy red body with white lacing. Aroma is very light cherry. Mouthfeel is dry with notes of bitter malts, and an unpleasant finish.

Bottle, 25 cl. Pours chestnut with not much head. Aroma has balsamico, fruity, cheeries, oak, roasted nuts, caramel, a hint of brett and leather, a good resemblance to red wine. Taste has a really subdued sourness, balsamico, slight nuttiness, hint of caramel, slightly brett and leathery. Really nice.

Bottle (25cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Clear, reddish brown colour. Large offwhite head, quickly diminishing to a thin film, some lacing. Sweetish-tart aroma of sour cherries, grape kernels, malt, caramel. Body is light/medium, refreshing mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Acidic fruity taste, nicely balanced by mid-taste sweetness, before a mildly tart finish.

Camons (1493) - Hasselager, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2011
Bottle @ Home. Pours dark reddish brown with a small creamy offwhite head. Aroma of sour cherries, oak and vinegar. Taste is sour cherries, some wood, oak, green apples, some vanilla too. Body is rather thin, but at the same time feels creamy on the tonque, soft carbonation. Interesting and refreshing beer. 080511

Tap. Slightly off-white head, orangeish-red hue. Sourish cherries and dark fruit in the aroma, and some slight vinegar. Definitely sour, but is lacking something overall. Dark fruits, bit of cherry, and some vinegary sour in the finish. Lighter, tart, and decent carbonation.
