UPDATED: MAY 3, 2011 I like this beer when i go to the coast (classic with a bowl of unpealed shrimps). Indeed a refreshing beer. Very interesting is a vertical taste with the 3 RB beers.

Really not my style of beer, I do appreciate the quality of this beer, just do not particularily care for a beer that has any sour flavors in it.

@ Tap at Mikkeller Bar. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted dark nuances, dark dried berries, chocolate and a bit caramel and sourness, Flavour starts with the wild yeast, citrus and grapes and ends with the more roasty nuances. Sour and vinous overall.

250ml bottle. Pours a deep mahogany reddish-brown. Sparkling carbonation, minimal spritzy head. Aroma is sour, fruity, vinous, like pickled plums. Wonderful sweet and sour flavour, malt vinegar, tart blackberry and crab apple, woody and earthy. Palate is vinous, light, spritzy and long.

750 mL bottle poured into a pint glass. Very dark red ale with a reasonable and well formed head. Smells gueuze, bitter and fruity. Smells pretty good. Milder on first taste than I remember, not as harsh. Its quite tasty but still a little bit too sour. This is quite decent but not amongst my favourite beers.

Clear dark red brown with light brown head. Aroma is sour with cherry and some dried fruit. Taste is somewhat sweet as well ending lightly acidic. Refreshing and pleasant beer, though a bit light bodied. 160111

From the 750 ml. bottle with no expiration or bottling date. It has an attractive looking amber-brown pour with about an inch and a half of fast-fading head. The aroma is like vinegar and boozy rather than malty and hoppy. If I was to pick any of the "standard" beer ingredients as a stand out I would pin it on the hops. The body is medium and fizzy. The taste is elegantly sour.
