Oak and sweet vinegar predominate in the aroma. Mustiness, green apples, sour cherries also present to lesser degree. Very clear and blood red with a dense tan head. Taste starts off like biting into a granny smith apple - tart. Quickly smooths to a creamy, carmel maltiness. The vinous notes continue straight on through. Very lively carbonation, almost foamy. Gets a little thin towards the end by in all, really a delightful beer. Will be coming back!

25 cl bottle. If you like wine drink a good wine, and if you are lookng for a good beer don´t try this winebeer. Not bad at all. Sweet at fist and sour at the end. No white head and low carbonated.

250 ml bottle in Germany. Pours a very dark ruby color with a full off-white head. A very sour cherry aroma with some wooden hints. Sour tart cherry flavor with some hints of wood. Dry sour finish with hints of cherry. Not really my style of beer but well made.

Bottle. Reddish brown with a light beige head. Aroma of berries, tart apples, wine vinegar. Very light-bodied. Quite sweet and very fruity with modest but insistent sourness. Drying slightly woody end. A casual delight.

Bottle. Pours a very dark copper with smallish tan coloured head. Head falls away very quickly leaving just a little lacing. Decent aromas of sour cherry balanced by some vinegar acidity. Taste are initially syrupy sweet with some sourness on the finish. Very dry chalky finish. Mouthfeel is very thin. Not as good as i remember and not the best sour but an OK beer never the less.

Draught at the brewery. Dark brown color with a thick beige head. Very tart nose with a lot of apple fruitiness. Light and refreshing flavor with considerably lighter body and less sweetness than the grand cru. Not as sour, but the lighter sweetness almost gives it a more tart feel on the whole. Black cherry and tart apple fruitiness in the flavor. Very drinkable stuff. I found myself actually enjoying this more than the grand cru, given the opportunity to have them side by side at the brewery. This really is a sour beer that you can just drink, if you know what I mean. I would support taking the 4 grams of sugar per liter of sweetening down to zero, but the beer is good regardless.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of tart fruit, funk, cheese, slight cherry, slight wood, and a hint of acid. Poured deep amber/brown in color with a small, loose, brown head that disappeared quickly. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Some small particles throughout. Flavor is heavily sweet and slightly tart. Tastes of wood, cherry, malt, light funk, and slight tartness. Medium body. Tingly, then lightly dry texture. Average to slightly lively carbonation. Malt, wood, cherry, funk, finish is medium sweet and a tad tart.

Bistro -Bal Aged fest. Pours hazy reddish brown with a small off-white head. Excellent fruity aroma of cherries, apple, vinegar, and oak. The flavor is also pretty nice if a tad bit weak. Oaky and fruity, sweet and tart, with cherries and nutty earthiness. Medium-bodied and decently lively with slight puckering tartness. Really enjoyable overall.
