Pours a dark brownish red color. Aroma is sweet malt, vinegar, and cherry cough syrup. It’s got that familiar Flanders red smell. The taste is very slightly sour, sweet, malty, cough syrup, and barrel flavors. I like it, especially for the price.

Served cool, minimal head. Aroma consisting of sour cherry infused with malty caramel. Initially the malt/caramel is the most prominent taste, but the sour ale flavour slowly follows and maintains its bitterness and mild hops for a short period after. A delectable fusion of styles and definitely one of my favourites.

I don't like sours, but cold this brew pleases nonetheless. Palate is sweet effervescence, contrasting nicely with the dark red brown coloring and rapidly disappearing head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

VDuquerroux (208) - Airvault, FRANCE - MAY 27, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2014 Bottle, 25cL. Home. A dark sparkling mahogany beer with a medium thin white head. Poor persistence. Aroma of vinegar, wood, roasty malt. Medium sour waves balanced with medium sweet. Refreshing. Light body, watery texture, average to soft carbonation, sour finish with a sugary sweet touch. Overall, a good sour/sweet beer with a nice woody aroma. Nevertheless, hard to be compared with Rodenbach Bach Grand Cru "classique" or limited editions

Slightly tart in taste and smell. Mild Oak character balances well with the sourness. A little bit earthy.

Appearance was clear dark cherry with off white creamy diminishing 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are cherries, raspberries, brown sugar with soft acidic nose. Taste are tart fruits of cherry, raspberry, grapefruit, molasses sweetness with an acidic bite. Palate was soft tiny CO2 with light body, lasting fruity acidic sour finish. A easy fruity sour to begin with.
