750 mL bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Pours dark red with little to no head but some bubbles. Sour cherry and vinegar notes in the aroma. Flavor contains some sourness mixed with a hint of oak but less than I wanted and expected. This is a good sour beer but not a great one like the Grand Cru.

33cl bottle. Pours deep mahogany red with a medium head. Short retention. Aroma is vinous and lactic. Some oak. Taste is medium lactic, quite fruity. Lots of cherries. Still not my thing (like the Grand Cru).

On tap at Bar Symon pours cloudy dark red with off white head. Aroma is leather, oak, funk, and some acidity. Viscous mouthfeel. Flavor is tart, lemongrass, sour cherry, funk, oak, and is not as tart as you might expect. Its really a nice sour.

750ml bottle purchased at the liquor store in Tyngsborro, Mass. Pours a murky, neary opaque brown-red with red highlights. Smells malty, fruity with some nut and banana. Tastes nutty, fruity, with some banana, and some nice acidity in the background. On the lighter side of medium-bodied with low carbonation. Despite the complexity, this beer is balanced, somewhat subdued, refreshing, and all-around pleasant.

Pours a cloudy tan-red with minimal sparse off-white head. Aroma of pureed raspberries, sour cherries, lemon, and iced tea. Flavor is funky, old cheese. Slight tang of sour fruit as I swallow, but it’s gone in a flash and replaced by club soda and old cheese. This beer is a tease. There is some really good tartness, but it was gone by the time I could process it even existed. It’s solid, but it’s hard to enjoy it as much as I could knowing the Grand Cru is so similar but better.

I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617, and it being a sour ale - which we are fond of!! - it was pretty tasty! It poured a nice dark garnet color with a thin tan head. It had that sour ale aroma - very much like balsamic vinegar...it also had a hint of molasses. It tasted great. Typical sour ale, but it was a bit light on the mouth. Not quite as thick as some of the sour ales I have had. It was quite tasty though...clearly you should have some.

Shared a fucking 8.45oz bottle with MereLikesBeer. I’ve only had a few sour ales, but this was pretty good. The mouthfeel was a little watery, but otherwise this had a great flavor profile of dark fruit and great sour notes. very subtle balsamic on the finish. Cheers!
