This beer is half the man of the Grand Cru, if you can find either don’t waste your time on this inferior red

Source: 250 mL bottle at the Rake.
Glass: Tulip.
Appearance: Dark red/brown pour with a one finger beige head.
Aroma: Sour cherries and a hint of brown sugar.
Flavor: Sour cherries with notes of oak and dark fruits.
Palate: Medium body with soft carbonation.
Overall: Very good sour. I liked this a little more than the grand cru.

25cl bottle bought in Belgium, pours a clear red-brown with a very thin lacy head, leaving a light sediment in the bottle. Smell is plums and wine-gums, with a sour woody note. On the tongue it is a bit musty, sweet and sour, plummy yet dry. The aftertaste is woody and dry but with fruit overtones. Strangely clean and refreshing.

Bottle from my girlfriend for my birthday. dark red pour with barely any head. Fruity aroma of cherries and light vinaigrette. Flavor is fruity and lightly sour. Very tasty, actually. Basically the intro to sours here, but still a great beer. You could drink this all day easily.

750ml corked bottle served in a chalice. Bottle conditioned. Poured a dark copper with a quickly dissipating off white head. Lots of fruit in the aroma, mainly sour cherries. Not very carbonated, fairly light body. A little sweetness up front. Nice tart flavor with more fruit. Very drinkable. If you are new to the style, this would be a good starting point.

bottle. Probably my initiate entrance into sour beers when I was younger. pours a nice ruby/dark brown with off white head. Aroma sour, notes of wood, oak and light dark fruits. Taste. light wood barrel, oak, light tartness that keeps the beer very approachable, some sour fruits - cherry , bubbly palate. Simple yet very tasty and highly drinkable. The sour side remains mild and make this one a good entry in the sour beer world.

8.45 oz bottle. Pours dark red/ brown with almost no head. Smells of cherries with a hint of oak in the background. Visual sense of no carbonation, but on the palate it seems very fizzy. Sweet fruit taste cut with a sour finish. Medium body with dry finish. Overall good beer that would have again.

bottle, small white head, dark red/brown colour. Smells very fruity. Taste: sweet, sour, a bit bitter, grainy, plums, fruity. Very good beer for such a commercial one!
