2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 wimpie133 (380) - Brugge, BELGIUM - JUN 6, 2009
Bottle, 25cl. The beer has a dark red / brown colour, unclear and only a little head. The smell is fruity (dark fruity) and a bit of caramel and wood. The taste is rather sour, a bit fruity and yeasty. Although this a very refreshing beer (it wears his title quite rightly), and although there is nothing wrong with the taste, I found this beer nothing special. Maybe it’s better from draught.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 turbothy (937) - Bonn, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2009
25cl bottle bought at Carrefour, Eupen. Pours reddish brown with a small head. Fruity, acidic aroma. Very nice sour taste, a very refreshing beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 unclemike (1363) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - MAY 7, 2009
Bottle. Pours deep opaque red. Aroma is sour, lightly fruity, vinegary. Flavor is full of sour fruity tartness, with hints of sweetness. Finish is drying and tart, and fairly short. Palate is smooth and lightly fizzy. I wish I hadn’t had the Grand Cru first now, because it makes this one seem a little less potent. Still, fantastic and yummy, I think I’m a fan of the style. I’ll be getting more for sure
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 smith4498 (2150) - Miami, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2009
Pours reddish brown with off white head. Sour, fruity aroma. Mildly sour with some cherry and woody flavors. Medium body with average carbonation. A very nice mildly sour ale.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 vikingguy (456) - Chaska, Minnesota, USA - MAY 1, 2009
Bottle...past expiration date, cracked it anyway. Very little head that dissapates quickly...don’t know if that has something to do with the past expiration or maybe I’m drinking it too cold. Dark mahogany color, attractive ruby hue when held up to a light. Fruity aroma...raspberry, sour cherry, apple. Good flavor...much like the aroma...sour cherry is dominant. Can’t pick out much else...very light hops, pleasant aftertaste, definitely refreshing. Light mouthfeel and very little carbonation...again, not sure that is due to the older bottle or not. I like this one and will buy it again, only next time I’ll check the "best before" date.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MitchWayne (263) - Kokkola, FINLAND - APR 19, 2009
Sweet and sour thirst quencher, cassis in the taste and aroma. I like this but it comes up short compared to the other two rodenbachs I have had.
