Ruby red brown beer, off-white head. Aroma of malts, wood, fruity, berries, sour notes and a hint of caramel. Flavour is malty sweet, tangy sourness, some caramel, very fresh. Finish fruity berries. Very nice, a clasic.

33cl bottle. Reddish beer with tan diminishes head. Aroma is vinous, sour fruity. Flavour has fruity notes, cherries are present. Bitterness but also a moderate sweet. Red fruity wine notes are also present. The final is moderate long sour. Carbonation is lively. Body is medium.

Ruddy brown pour. Definitely smells like a sour! Flavor is less so, but has a big acidic bite. Not as much as the grand cru, but still there.

Reddish/copper brew with a pinkish head. Aromas of berries, wine, and some medicinal sweetness. Tastes of tart raspberries, muted sweetness, and a medium/heavy sourness. Tastes a bit like wine, but sweeter. Tart finish. Pretty tasty, one to sit back and enjoy.

Very fruity (grapes and cherry) aroma. clear, dark brown red appearance. taste is sour, winey, fruity and malty, hints of spices. Refreshing, but not more.

Chipalsa (476) - Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2011
Pours a nice and hazy brown, not much of a head though. Scents are bitter, fruity and a tad earthy with a nice mellow oak aroma. The taste is great, not as big in tangy flavors as a regular sour, but rather more onto sweet apple notes and a mellow earthiness that balances out quite well. The finish is sour, and with a hint of sweet, leaves the mouth dry and wanting more.

Bottle share at extreme food night with Chipalsa and company. Nose is slightly woody with a funky sour malt mash smell. Poured a dark brown with little head. Taste is sour malt/vinegar with a nice wood aftertaste. Some slightly fruity esters that help even out the sours. Nice.

Tap at random place in Brussel. Clear dark brownish red with a short beige head. Sweetish sourish malty taste and aroma with red berries, plum and woody notes of barrel. Thin and slight watery with soft carbonation. Like a stripped down version of the excellent Grand Cru. Totally ok though totally overshadowed by the latter.
