It had a deep reddish brown color with some visible carbonation. Its head was small and slightly pinkish tan color. The head slowly recedes, leaving some nice lace behind on the glass. The aroma has sweet and sour fruity notes with some sharp acidic cider vinegar notes. Wow very interesting! The range of flavor is amazing. It starts off with sour apple cider vinegar notes over a light malty flavor. This quickly turns to a more sweet/tart fruity flavor with cherry notes and some hints of musty oak. Next up is a slightly dry, mild earthy bitterness. For the finish it turns back to a semi-dry, tart/sour flavor that slowly fades off the tongue. It’s about medium bodied and the carbonation feels light and a bit fizzy. This is a very complex and interesting beer. It is a slow sipper that is very enjoyable small amounts

Tasted from bottle. Pours a nice dark ruby with beige head that rapidly fades. Aroma is sour with dark fruits, brown sugar, spices. Taste is moderately sour. Flavors of cherries, prunes and spices. Not overly tart so it's good if you aren't a huge sour fan. Not as complex as some I've tasted but still very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown color with a medium sized beige head that didn’t last. The aroma and flavor have tart/sour dark fruits, vinegar, cherries, funk, light musty oak, with some mild spice. Lighter nose, moderate carbonation with a medium body. Solid introductory sour that one could drink all day.

Lovely looking beer - a nice dark brown. Murky. Almost didn’t catch the head. Very thin and fleeting. No lacing at all. Smells of sour apples. Tasty. Very clean and very light. Hardly any after taste at all. A perfectly neat, clean finish. This beer reminds me of eating the skin of unripe grapes.

Appearance - deep red brown. Finger head. Aroma - sour funk Mouth - high carb bite at the front that dies quick Taste - light cherry. Not very sour. Very lite fruit. Overall - good beer but I like my sours to be mouth puckering.

Pours a dark brownish red color. Aroma is sweet malt, vinegar, and cherry cough syrup. It’s got that familiar Flanders red smell. The taste is very slightly sour, sweet, malty, cough syrup, and barrel flavors. I like it, especially for the price.

Served cool, minimal head. Aroma consisting of sour cherry infused with malty caramel. Initially the malt/caramel is the most prominent taste, but the sour ale flavour slowly follows and maintains its bitterness and mild hops for a short period after. A delectable fusion of styles and definitely one of my favourites.
