Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a clear dark ruby/brown with a one finger light tan head. Aroma is very acidic with notes of sour cherries, oak, and a little dark fruit. Taste is very tart at first lending way to oak, cherries, light caramel, and vinegar. Medium thin mouth feel that finishes dry and tart. Not as good as th Grand Cru but still a great sour.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 JJClark (549) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 12, 2008
Large bottle from trade with RCL. Thanks Ray! Pours a hazy reddish brown color with a small off white head. Aroma of berries, oak and sherry. Taste is slightly tart and fruity but exceptionally well balanced. Flavor is semi sour but not overwhelmingly so. This is very nice and easy to drink. Has a dry, tangy and crisp finish. I liked this sour ale a lot!

2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 moseslikesbeer (183) - conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2008
bottle. Didn’t like this at all. I think it may be safe to say that I’m not a sour ale fan! Nice light brown color. Smelled like a cherry cobbler. I didn’t taste the oak at all. The cherry was to over the top! Left me with a bitter beer face for at least a minute and I could still taste this even after a chaser. This was more like a dessert than a beer.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheCaptain (613) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2008
Large bottle with a reddish brown pour and small foam head. The sour cherry and wood texture of this was relatively clear, a little over the top. Complex and smooth for the flemish that it is but just not liking the power of sour.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 azlondon (1004) - Fribourg, SWITZERLAND - JUL 1, 2008
Appearance: Dark red, some brown. Tiny amount of shortlived head.
Aroma: Sour fruit, cherry. Wood?
Taste: Quite sour, cherry. Quenching.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sparky (2128) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 30, 2008
Bottle. Pours a deep clear mahogany with a quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is vinegar, aspirin, lemon peels and sour black cherries. Taste is sour upfront with cherries and vinegar but finishes with a semi-sweet malt that doesn’t stick around long. Light to medium mouth feel. Carbonation is quite prickly on the tongue. A nice sour.
