About time to rate this classic Belgian. Pours a hazy ruby-copper with a finger of foam that quickly dissipates. Funky, sweet estery smell with underlying fruit notes. Grainy malts and candy sugar mix with tart cherries. Smooth and very drinkable, much better than many overwhelming American sours that are lip-puckering bitter and taste of vinegar. It’s OK to be subtle!

Bottle 25cl, @ home. Brown-read color, minimal head. Aroma of vinegar and oak vats. Taste is sour and sweet, a bit winery. Good stuff.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
