drank at La Morte Subite on tap.... Good CO2 bite with a nice lactic/fruit aroma Dark ruby red color, subdued sourness, I guess I prefer the Grand Cru. The CO2 seems to increase the tartness sweet start with drying finish and seems to bring the aspect of dark cherries and vanilla to the front. Slight Ethylacetate that is not overbearing like " La Folie" in my opionion. Would go great with some flemish beef stew.

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is clear red/brown with a small and unstable cream colored head, carbonation is average. The aroma is fruity with tones of cherries, but also a bitterness of malts is noticable. In the background you can even smell some oak. The taste is light bitter and light sour and some tones of cherries and oak are noticable. The finish is dry and intens.

0.25 l in Delirium Tremens @ Brussels. Looks like rose wine. Taste is sour but not too much. There is also somethin else. Not quite like red wine, but something similar.

From a can. Fine head, very fruity and thin, quite refreshing once you get used to it.

Live rating: 25 cl bottle served cool in a Hoegaarden Grand Cru tulip. Aroma is leather, vinegar and old trainer insole. Deep brown body, slightly hazy, with a creamy beige head. Sour apple flavour, some burnt cinder toffee, piquant fruitiness, and Lancashire cheese... mmm, mmm, mmm... even a tiny sip delivers a marvellous taste experience. Bitter sweet, medium bodied, astringent... tasty doesn’t do it justice.

Pour is brownish with a thin off-white head. Nose is woody with some sourness. Taste is red grapes, oak barrel and some sourness. Some vanilla notes too. Pretty light body and not overwhelmingly sour. Low carbonation. Well done, but not outstanding.

Hazy brown beer, small tan head. Nose is tart with acidic notes, flavor is tart and somewhat vinous with plums, spice and berry hints. Pretty drinkable, not as tart and acidic I thought it would be.

I don’t like it as much as it’s reputation made me believe. It is too sweet for me.

Smell is malt and mild sourness. Taste is very very mild sourness and semi-sweet and sour red/brown. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, and mild foam.

Une bière facile à boire délicieuse,je pourrait en boire des tonnes.Son mixte de jeunes et de vieux brassin sont parfait.Jaimerais bien que des brasseries Québécoise puisse recréer quelque chose de similaire.
