Bottle. Pours opaque cola brown rouge with a tinged red light tan head. Not altogether too resilient, but leaving a ring around the tulip. Sweet malts underly a vinegar sour tart cherry and woody character on the nose. Very refreshing spritzy carbonation and creamy light spritzy mouthfeel, light medium body, sweet malts balanced with a sour tartness and subtle woody notes. Finish is lightly sweet, with the sour tarness coming through balancing for a very satisfying finish.

Bottle @ Snuffel Backpackers Hostel, Brugge. Dark amber-red with a head. Has a soured fruit taste, but nothing lingers in the palate and itís disappointing as thereís no kick to it. Has a much better nose though.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange to brown/Red color with a slim half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within about a light thirty seconds. The smell had a nice sweet to sour fruit leaning towards an apple/possibly peach and maybe somewhat light cherry. The taste took those flavors and combined wonderfully to taste. A nice sweet fruity to somewhat sour aftertaste accompanies the flavor. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and good for the style and for me - as itís nothing overbearing. Overall, Iíd say that this is one Iíd have again. Great beer!

Bottle. Dark amber color. Aromas: sour cherries, overripe apples, mushrooms, copper, sour mayonnaise. Very typical (and a little funky). Taste is not as sour as one would expect: sour sweet grape taste, sour cherries, but sweet development towards jam. Interesting.

Não gostei. Apesar de ser bonita na aparência, no aroma sobressaiu o cheiro de vinagre. Bem seca na boca, mas o vinagre persistiu.

330mL can into a snifter. Pours a deep ruby red with an off white head and a nice zesty aroma. A wonderfully light sour citrus flavour with slighly sweet toffee note. Amazing beer.

September 24, 2014. Bottle, best before may 2015. Pours clear ruby red with a small dense, creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet and tart cherries, oak, light vinegar and vanilla. Taste is light sweet, light to medium tart with a dry finish.

Appearance: cloudy dark brown with reddish highlights, creamy khaki head. Aroma: light balsamic vinegar, sour cherries, hint of soy sauce and leather. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with a bit of vanilla and a slight woody funk. Finish: slightly sour and a little tart, but with more sweetness than other offerings from this brewery. Notes: My least favorite of the Rodenbach line so far, but still an excellent sour ale. This one is just a shade less complex, with more sweetness.

"this was the weakest and thinnest of the 4 sours (and one wild ale) we had last night, but itís not a bad beer, just a little tamer or less complex than the others. bown in color, nice fairly aromatic flavor...a touch spicier, and not as sour as the others, but again...something i wouldnít ever mind drinking."

Bottle from Mam and Dadís holiday, France and Rehills, Newcastle. A dark brown cloudy beer with ruby red highlights. It has a strong flavour slightly sour cherries, creamy red fruit and vinous notes with a tart sugary sweet finish.
