11.2oz Bottle. The pour was a dark cranberry red with an average (1-2 finger) light brown fizzy head that fully diminished in a short time, leaving behind virtually no lacing at all. The aroma was quite compelling with some sweet malts and a tart Brett yeast, along with notes of dark fruit (black cherry, raspberry and cassis), candi sugar and a slight port wine presence. The taste was bold and flavorful with a malty sweet tartness and a good fruity note along with some candi sugar to start, then became nice and yeasty with a strong sour port presence towards the end. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow, with a fruity sour wine taste fading ever so slowly. Mouthfeel was a about medium in body and dry in texture with an almost medium carbonation. Overall this brew creates a fruity sour explosion on the taste buds, which I personally love. It has tons and tons of flavor, a fantastic drinkability and possesses a low ABV. Damn itís good...

0.33l bottle. Clear dark ruby body, light brown head. Aroma of lemon juice, sour cherry, blackberry and a hint of red wine and oak. Itís very fruity, clean and smooth. Taste of caramel, sour cherry, lemon juice, red wine and balsamic vinegar. Medium body and carbonation, silky texture. Very nice.

A wonderful deep purple tan, sharp mouthfeel with crisp bite. Strawberries, cherries, apricot smell. Lingering sour after taste, lemon and vinegar maybe? High carbonation makes extra tang

Bottle at La Tienda de la Cerveza. Wine aromas, hints of something that reminds me ketchup and mustard (vinegar and spices?). After some minutes also develops grainy notes. Good and refreshing acidity, soft cider flavors, again mustard hints with a good grainy background. I like it.

Bottle shared with Rachel during the course of our eveing at Het Waterhuis in Ghent. Straight Rodenbach doesnít travel nearly as much as itís loftier brothers. Good to finally have a bottle. Pours Red Amber with a foamy off-White head. Aroma of fruity vinegar and sweet malt. I always find the flavour combinations in Flemmish Reds to be uite disarming. Tart and spoilt with a robust malty sweetness. Quite difficult to compute. I like it but I donít find it moreish in the same way I would a Lambic.

1/4 de cerveza macerada 2 aŮos en cerveza de roble. Color caoba. 1 dedo de espuma que se desvanece. Olor a madera y fruta roja. Sabor predominantemente afrutado (cereza) y algo avinagrado. Muy especial. Cuesta.

Aroma: red wine, woody, dark malts. Appearance: brown-reddish color, nice thin creamy head. Palate: low bitterness, barrel notes, red wine, slightly sour, dark malts, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, sour finish. Overall: Really good commercial barrel aged beer. Very drinkable.

APPEARANCE - dark amber with beautiful creamy very light brown head that sticks to the side of my Belgian glass like honey when I swirl it. NOSE - very little scent to speak of. FLAVOR - slightly sour at fisrt, and it mellows into a sweetish malty flavor.
