2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
So much yeast and whatever collected on the bottom of the bottle that as I started to pour it out I was worried that it mix in. So I used a filter. Maybe I shouldn’t but the reviews suggested that the haziness wasn’t an addition. The clear bottle is not appealing either. Still pours hazy amber with a frothy, white, lacy, sticky head. Smells of ginger, yeast, malt, hops, orange peel. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Taste of yeast fills the mouth with lots of citrus orange peel, sourness and a grassy finish. Underneath it all it has a nice sweetness. Sort of an over-hopped Belgian ale.

Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma of fruits, malts, citrus peel, hops, yeast. Drinkable, but little more than a gimmick.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I appreciate the extensive information on the bottle but with the big yeast floaties and the clear glass.. Not the most appealing. Ah well, pours an expected golden copper body with off white head. Hard not to get yeast in. Spiced aroma, grainy, cookie malts, perhaps some grapefruit peel. Okay mouth feel actually, but underhopped for my taste. Fatty malts, if that makes sense, and in that respect not bad at all. The aroma is most disappointing, next to the looks which I’m still find off putting. (33cl bottle from Drankenservice Françoise)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, very thin white head. Aroma is very yeasty, some spicy hops, some fruits. Flavor is slightly bitter, more yeast and tangerine. A bit off-balance, but not that bad for a gimmick.

Dutch abdicationbeer. Nice top fermented beer. Nice, typical orange color and a white foamy top. It has a bittersour aroma, with a touch of orange. Full taste and with a nice, smooth bittersour aftertaste.
Nederlands abdicatiebier. Lekker bier van hoge gisting. Mooie, typische oranje kleur met een witte kop. Het aroma is bitterzuur, met iets van sinaasappel. Lekkere volle smaak met eveneens een bitterzure nasmaak. Limited edition.
