Darker yellow with solid foam head. Clearity not known as I poured in sandblasted glass. Aroma is not nice, strange aroma, sweet. Taste is surprisingly sweet for a tripel. Doesn’t taste like a tripel, not enough bitterness. Smooth aftertaste, but again no bitterness, sweet, fruity. (Velp 201301)

Not the best smelling beer or the best looking beer but the brew itself is nice. For a triple it is quite sweet, mostly apple. Very warming and a smooth palate. Bought in De Waag in Doesburg as their Doesburgs Triple.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Huubs (140) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 22, 2012
Amberkleurig met beperkt schuim. Smaak start erg zoet en romig met tinten van banaan, abrikoos en brood. Het is veel te zoet voor een tripel.
Aldus Huubs.

Bottle: Alcohol 8,5%
Medium vast white to off white head, disappears slow, on top of a light cloudy amber colored beer.
Hmmm.. This smells promising, lively aroma’s of fresh flowers, marzepin, buttery caramel, parfume, orange.
Taste very nice flavours like, sweeter and darker grains, some marzepin, creamy butter ish caramel, nice hoppy touch, nice bitter, spices, caramel, hint of nuts, something light light grenadine, sweeter wheat, darker herbs and some caramelised grains.
Aftertaste is a light mix of corn, warmth, grass and light sweet hay.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel medium to fuller body and a creamy sticky texture.
I am not a fan of this style, but this is one of a kind. Interesting beer and this brewery should definately try to pump this beer up a bit.

Bottle @ home. Amber colored, average sized off-white head. Smell malts and pretty sweet for a tripel. Tastes pretty sweet as well, too sweet for a tripel imo. Finish is fruitpeel-bitter. Medium carbo, medium body.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ads135 (1571) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Smells like a Leffe Tripel clone. Citrus aroma and flavor. Hazy golden appearance. Sharp bitter aftertaste but dominated by its banana-y sweetness. Tried at the Nederlandse Bierweek openingsfestival with Paul, Dave, and Erol.
