3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small offwhite head. Amber body with light carbonation made hazy
by lots of floaties. Light fruity spicy aroma, too faint to make
out anything more. Dry-sweet spicy wooden fruity taste with
herbal honey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel with
slight sharpness and heat. Dry coriander and spice aftertaste
with herbal dried fruit notes. Nice, vivid, harmonic. (0.33l
bottle from de Bierkoning.)

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle @ home. This beer pours a yellow/golden color with a white head. Aroma is ... awkward. Smells of ... try again ... hay and dung. Pretty weird, but hey, it might taste better than it smells. The taste is different from the aroma, but not pleasant at all. It’s a soury taste, resembling some kind of body fluid you wouldn’t want to drink. I don’t often empty my beer glass before I finish my beer, but this time I will.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 330 ml, into a tulip glass, ABV 8.5% Not sure which version I have, if it’s about colour then I have the light version, some info from the bottle for future reference: Brewed by Rodenburg, Brewing number 185, 19 Plato, IBU 49, EBC 10, hops are Perle, Cascade, Amarillo, Willamette.
Beer is bright orange golden in colour, with a small white head sitting on top. Good retention, medium lacing left on the glass. Body is mostly clear, lots of tiny pieces floating in it though.
Aroma of white grapes, Brett funkiness, green apples.
Taste of tropical fruits, grapes, apple juice, a bit sour with Brett helping intensifying the fruit flavours, then some sweetness with belgian sugar . Ends with a mild bitterness that carries on for a decent amount of time. Alcohol very well hidden.
Medium body, good carbonation. Slighty tart on the palate.
Overall quite complex and interesting beer, surely not your everyday tripel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not 100% sure which version I got.
33cl bottle (shared) Batchnumber TR-185
For me this one is hard to rate.
Because the behavior suggests infected.
Bottle opened very foamy.
There is quite a tartness in the aroma and taste there which is not what you expect from a any type Abbey Triple. But here is what I got.
Appearance: A very foamy (too foamy) huge head on a hazy light orange.
Aroma: Fruity hoppy with Apricot, Passionfruits,Grapefruits also some tartness.sour apples, a light Brett-character shining through.
Taste: Quite Fruity hoppyness with a little bit of caramel then going over in quite a tart Finish going in the direction of a Geuze. However suprisingly it works well on this bottle, comming of in the middle of a Geuze an IPA and a Belgian Triple. But for some reason I can not see that being the original plan. Making such a complex brew and present it as a more standard triple. This means I will check one bottle more of this batch as well as another batch if I run into it. If this was the plan medium body, medium CO2,creamy texture.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl Bottle from Secret Sint. Light/Dark version? I don’t know. But judging from the ratings, the dark is 9.5% ABV, the light 8.5%. Anyway, my beer wasn’t dark at all, and ABV was 8.5%, so here goes: Hazy golden orange colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of fresh apple juice, sour apples, a light Brett-character shining through, alcohol, citric acid. Flavour is quite tart to sour, lemon, citric acid, apples, malts, sugar, alcohol bitter finish. Medium-bodied. I have the feeling I had an infected bottle, I don’t think this beer was intended to be quite tart.
