3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draught at Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of citrus, pineapple, banana and white bread. Fruity, wheaty taste with citrus, bread, tropical fruit, grass and a certain citric bitterness in a finish with hints of coriander. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. The fresh and summery hop character came as a positive surprise. Quite nice.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Drie Dorstige Herten, large sample. Cloudy golden color, medium head. Aroma has wheat, slight hint of banana, soft grapefruit. Bartender said they used a bit of Cascade. Medium bitter taste, hint of sweetness. It’s a beer in dubio: it lacks the sweetness and refreshing qualities of a weizen, but it also lacks good hoppiness to be a hopfenweizen or anything. Although Cascade and weizen have been used more often, this is not the way to do it. I prefer sweeter hops with a (hopfen)weizen, like Citra, but not the piney and grapefruity ones. They don’t seem to properly fit.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. Cloudy orangey golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly unspecific fruity aroma has hints with resemblance to peach, apricot, pear, blackberry, cautious yeasty overtones. Taste is initially moderately sweet unspecific fruity, a touch of honey, later unpleasantly strawy herbal bitter and spicy yeasty. Unbalanced, starts nice but offers a devastating finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light hazy light orange and with a slim white head. Coriander, wheat, flour, green plantain and white sugar. Fairly carbonated adn still a bit watery. Sweet taste, misses a spicy, herbal or hoppy character. Disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium vast white head, changes slowly into thick vast white lacing on top of a hazy yellow orange colored beer.
Smell karnemelk, yoghurt, wheat, milk citrus, grains, corn and a hint of lactic sour
Taste start immediately with lactic sour, than changes into a mix of wheat, yoghurt sour, a hint of praline, corny citrus, some malty bitter tonts and some wheat floral herbs.
Mostly a firm lactic yoghurt sour touch but not too over dominating. Actually not
Aftertaste is a light mix of wheat, hint of yoghurt, some malts and light herby tint.
Low carbo, soft light funky mouthfeel, good medium to even slightly fuller body and a light watery/light creamy texture.
Not bad, like the sour touch, maybe slightly unbalanced, bit can imagine this one is nice with warm weather.
