neepsntatties (1184) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 27, 2014
On tap at the 2014 Oregon Brewers Festival. Colour...true amber with a thick ecru head. Nose...redolent of caramel, dried tropical fruits and hop sirop. Palate...more of the caramel is present but there’s plenty of hop bite to create balance. Mid palate has a dusty hop flavour and notes of mango and apricot skin. The overall mouthfeel is plush and velvety with a moderately long, citrusy finish.

330 ml bottle. 92 IBU. Pours a dark amber colour with a white thick head. Aroma is quite heavy on caramel with some notes of nettles and perfume. Flavour of heavy caramel malts, grassy bitterness, resin, dry grainy notes and red berries. Medium bodied. An unpleasant harsh DIPA.

rikstar (687) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 24, 2014
Fles gedeeld met jerommeke. Robijnrood bier meen mooie volle crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Geur van rijpe abrikozen en cantaloup ook biscuit komt maar voeren. Smaak is bitterzoet en trekkend naast de eerder genoemde fruittonen komt nu ook pine en caramel naar voren. Body van dit bier is overweldigend. Erg lekkere imperial IPA.

erickok (3424) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - JUN 23, 2014
Cloudy amber body and less stable head than I hoped. Start English in malt bill and general appeal. Herbal and pine hops. Biscuit malts with low sweetness. Malty taste yet lots of dark bittering hops. Warming alcohol. The beer isn’t as fresh as I hoped or expected, even though I picked up this bottle from The Netherlands directly not long ago. (33cl bottle from SpeciaalBierPakket)
