Bottle. A more or less black one, topped by a dense, beige head. Some lacing. Quite funky, lightly vinegarish aroma with some roasted malts, coffee, peppery notes and a chocolate touch. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, with a faint warmth. Licorice, roasted malts, balsamic vinegar, coffee, chocolate and some dried fruits. Lasting finish. Tasteful and complex, well worth a revisit. 150724

Bottle. Very dark brown - almost black, large and mostly lasting dark brown head. Moderate to full, malty - light oat and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, some roasted malt and light coffee, light - some hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty - light oat and lightly sweetish flavor, light - some roasted malt and light coffee, light - some hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty - light oat and lightly sweetish, some roasted malt and light coffee with light - some hoppyness, light alcohol. Really nice roasted imperial porter. Not overly too sweet/not too much alcohol considering the body. Could use more bitterness (despite of 88 IBU present). Nice head.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours oily black with a creamy tan head. Heavy nose, lots of dark fruits, chocolate, roast. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, some burnt toffee, hearty oily burnt pine, dark berries, cocoa. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with gooey dark fruits, more berries, heavy chocolate, bitter scorched earth. Pretty punchy but pretty solid as well.
