Drinking blind from 33 cl bottle. In the aroma alcohol, sweetness, chocolate, roast malt and nuts. The clear red brown beer has a small brown head. In the taste liquorice and cough syrup. Mostly sweetness some bitterness and a small bit sour. Less alcohol then you would expect. Low carbonated.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2014 Bottle, batch NP-202, bb feb 2016. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma: Dark chocolate, espresso, nuts, somewhat earthy and roasty. Taste: chocolate, licorice, dark fruit, coffee, laurel, toffee with smoke and peat hints. Fairly sweet, with a good balancing bitterness and slightly sour. Smooth, oily moutfeel, a complex, full body and a long lasting bitter chocolate finish with a bit of peat. Everything?s just right. Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Black with big creamy brown head. Cocoa beans, coffee, toast, some creamy chocolate pudding, light vanilla, doughy and a hint of fruits. Taste is light sweet with big roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation and slight watery feel. Great stuff.

33cl Bottle: BBD 31st Oct 15, poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 26th Apr 14. My 5th beer in a random tasting evening with myself! A deep and dark tanned bubbly head sat on top of a truly ruby red body, the head falling away as I wrote these words, how sad! The aroma was of ground coffee combined with old cocoa beans and vanilla pods, as was the taste: some hints of bitterness and sourness in there somewhere too. Chocolate can sometimes be bitter, and this is maybe what I picked up? Rich and alcoholic in the body, almost smooth: I really enjoyed it.

Sueffig und schwer. Vorne mit Kaffe und einer milden Saeure, zum Ende hin jedoch geraeuchert. Und das killt natuerlich viele Szmpathien. Alles in allem jedoch solide. Kaffee, Roestaromen und gar Sueffigkeit.

Nice medium to full bodied beer that is full of coffee roasted aromas. Black beer with tan head. Not bad actually, full of flavour. Good bitterness, quite dry.

Thanks bierkoning! Dark opaque brown color, small steady brownish head. A bit sweetish, toasted malty aroma with lots of cocoa powder. Medium to full-bodied. Pleasant toasted malty flavor. Cocoa is also dominant in the flavor. Light bitterness and caramalt. Robust porter.

33cl bottle @ home from Mitra. Nearly black color, no head. Aroma light red wine, wild yeast, roasty smell, flavor is extreme dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, hint of rum / wine / sourcherry. Alcohol is slightly present. Taste hint of sweetness, very roasted bitterness (also quinine at the end), light to medium sourness. Full body, sticky texture, flat carbonation, roasted coffeeish bitter finish with long duration. Not an easy but a heavy dessert beer, very simple and very powerful. I don’t like the sourness, I miss the carbonation and takes time to drink it, but still a very interesting massive beer, just a little bit too much.

peaty smoke, espresso, dark chocolat, all very well defined... thick sweetness with some fresh bitters... light carbs... great porter
