Bottle traded with Borresteijn. Thanks a bunch! As my rating no. 4500. It pours pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is hard roasted malt, light peat, liquorice and bitter coffee. The flavour is roasted and bitter with strong notes of liquorice and bitter coffee. Long bitter roasted finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Black and opague. Creamy dark chocolate, ash and coffee in the aroma. Medium bodied, soft alcoholic flavor with coffee, ash, dark chocolate and licorice. Very tasty, fairly complex brew, with a creamy, yeasty aftertaste. A very pleasant surprise.

Hmmm, excellent Baltic Porter, forgot how much I enjoy this style. I donít see it in Holland much. Slightly smokey and earthy but with enough red fruit and coffee to make this an excellent brew. Bottle from Burg Bieren in Ermelo.

Draught @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2011. Dark brown, almost black color, brown head. Smell malts and lightly spices. Taste caramel, malts, light fruit and light bitter. Expected it to be thick but itís quite smooth. Nice beer.

Tap at ít Arendsnest. Dark brown pour with a light, tan head. Cocoa roast aroma, sweet dark malts. Quite sweet flavor, medium roasty, dry coffee, some dark fruits, chocolate straight. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Rich chocolate finish, malty, sweet, light to medium roast. Good beer.

On tap at the Wildeman. Very dark red - brown beer which is clear. Decent darkish tan head. Softish palate, slightly dry and fairly smooth. Smooth dark malt with well integrated mild smooth coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Liquorish in the background. Well joined up porter, flavoursome and easy drinking.
