Pours out of the bottle in a deep black colour with rosé creamy head and smooth body. Aroma of roast and woods. Taste of smoke, leaves, woods, torf, malt and roasted barley. Light smokey touch. Due to the smokeyness not my kind of brew but apart from that not too bad.

Sueffig und schwer. Vorne mit Kaffe und einer milden Saeure, zum Ende hin jedoch geraeuchert. Und das killt natuerlich viele Szmpathien. Alles in allem jedoch solide. Kaffee, Roestaromen und gar Sueffigkeit.

Draft @ wvhnb, thanks for hooking us up! Aroma is liquorice, smoke, roasted malts, bread, molasses and ash. Flavour is a little less sweet then the regular, more roast and ash. Also notes of coffee, molasses and roasted malt and peat. Great beer.

33cl Bottle: BBD 31st Oct 15, poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 26th Apr 14. My 5th beer in a random tasting evening with myself! A deep and dark tanned bubbly head sat on top of a truly ruby red body, the head falling away as I wrote these words, how sad! The aroma was of ground coffee combined with old cocoa beans and vanilla pods, as was the taste: some hints of bitterness and sourness in there somewhere too. Chocolate can sometimes be bitter, and this is maybe what I picked up? Rich and alcoholic in the body, almost smooth: I really enjoyed it.

Almost black bodied, with an enormous head that generates brown floaties. Stroopsoldaatjes (Dutch carmael and butter candy)... Rich sweet toffee, caramel, dried figs, coffee beans, palm sugar and a hint of alcohol. Sweet, full taste, with a proper bitterness at the back. Oily mouth feel, with some fruity notes. A proper dessert beer! Well made. (33cl bottle, fairly priced)

The head is ok, the body black. It smells sweet. The taste is roasty-sweet, creamy, roasty-bitter. In the aftertaste it is very roasty, very intensiv, chocolate-alcoholic. Very good! I love that one ! 11/13/12/12/10/13

Tap @ week van het Nederlandse bier. Black pour, huge tan head. Aroma is roasty, peaty, bready and a bit of coffee and ash. Flavor is dry, roasty, ashy, slightly bitter and subtle. Very well balanced. Not that peaty, but very well drinkable.

Pours very dark with a fluffy mocha head. Aroma of sweet malty fruit. Flavour of dark chocolate and coffee malted together with a medium to full body. Aftertaste of the coffee.
