Bottle. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma is big chocolate, coffee, some red fruit and some roast. Taste is more coffee and roast with a long aftertaste of chocolate, alcohol and roast. Medium body and carbo. Would be even better with a bit more body, but overall a very nice beer.

Bottle from European Local Swap 4.0. Thanks to Douberd. Pitch black beer with a quite nice beige/brownish head. Roasted tobacco aroma, dark chocolate, cocoa, licorice notes, coffee, caramel, notes of figs and raisins. Roasted coffee and tar flavor, coffee, cocoa, licorice, dark chocolate, soot notes. Quite heavy beer with lots of flavor. Fullbodied and with a pleasant tobacco and coffee finish. Very nice.

On tap at T’Arendsnest, Amsterdam, Netherlands on Friday 30.09.11 Thick, heavy black beer with a light beige head. There is definately some peatiness going on here, there is also some spirit, though it is not too heavy or overpowering. Nice roasty cappuccino, with some spent coffee grains aplenty. Nice beer.
