Bottle from de Mitra in Gorinchem. The beer is unfiltered and light yellow colored and pours a large a sticky white foam, with average carbonation. In the aroma clear tones red grapefruits, mango, and of course hops (more in the background). The taste is medium hoppy, refreshing and has a pleasant bitterness which is not disruptive. The finish is pleasant and light bitter. A very nice IPA, which becomes better and better. When the bottle is empty you really desire to the next.

This beer is hoppy. Yes! The body is light to medium and the overall impression is dry and fruity. Hints of honey and plum fight the bitter side, the finish is sticky and expressively dry. For lovers of dry bitter beers, this one is a nice one to have. I expected a bit more, but still it’s a good one.

Leighton (13620) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2014 Bottle shared during the return journey of the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy head. The nose holds lightly biscuity pale bread and generic citrus. Medium sweet flavor with simple pale, bready malts, white sugar, pine needles. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary pale malt finish with restrained hop character, nips of bitter hay. Nothing special.
