Bottled, either from Bierkoning A’dam or Biernavigatie.nl. Orange/amber colored, small white head. Very powerful nose, bourbon, fruit (apple), wood, malts, alcohol, herbal notes, very nice. Malty, bitter and somewhat sweet flavor, oak, some vanilla, apple and herbal notes again, developing towards a more bitter finish with loads of alcohol. A lot more alcoholic than the regular version, definitely a sipper. Reminded me of JW Lees Harvest Ale, a classic barley wine. Perhaps the only flaw is that it is a little bit too boozy, but apart from that a brilliant brew.

Poured a cloudy amber with a minimal off white head. Aroma of citrus hops, sweet alcohol soaked malt. Medium body, flavour is spicey with dark fruit and a floral hint over vanilla and sweet malt.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a snifter. ABV a whooping 12% Beautiful, especially when hold against the light, dark red to light brown colour on the body. Not much head but after a tall pour some big beige bubbles were formed on the surface, eventually coming together to form a thin line around the glass. Light lacing left behind. On the aroma lots of fruits, peaches, light apricot, light yeat too, a bit of wood and vanilla. Sweet taste with lots of grass, earth and wood. Very complex taste, every sip brings something else upfront. Grapes. Juniper berries, bitters. A bit of ash too. The list goes on. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste too, having slowly progressed from the initial sweetness, so it doesn’t come at once. Medium thin body, carbonation on very good levels. What a great beer, Rodenburg is becoming one of the dutch breweries to keep an eye on with every new release of theirs.

Countbeer (6222) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 13, 2013
Bottle: No head, just some off white bubbles on the side on top of a hazy color between ruby and amber. Aromas of earth, mushrooms, barley malts, butter, whiskey, vanilla, locely and gets better with time! Flavours of barleys, mushrooms, nuts, mint, white wine, creamy, malts, light sticky and sticky full grainy. Lovely and quite complex. If there is more, sorry, I am enjoying a beer. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and an oily texture. Very nice smooth and soft balanced beer.

Draft at Gouda 20th Winterbierfestival. Cloudy amber color, thin white edge head. Aroma is bright, fruity, vanilla, subtle citrus. Taste is sweet vanilla, toffee, light spice, summer fruit. I think this was my favorite of the festival.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with a gray head that starts at the edges and remains. Aroma has a combination of sweet grains with a nice bourbon note and nice vanilla. Flavor has a really nice bourbon note throughout with sweet grains and caramel.
