UPDATED: DEC 26, 2007 Bottled - PET. Pale amber, no head. Aroma of dried fruit. Sweet and mediu bodied wih clean mouthfeel. Fruity chewy malt dominates. Quite bready with low hop rate and low bitterness. Unusally well made lager for being an InBev product.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle, 5.5% abv, bb.17.11.09, bought for under a dollar in Zaporizhzhya and consumed on my way to Odessa. Pours a fragile white head that rests for a while, covering a clear golden body. A grassy aroma can be stirred up. Sparse flavour of grassy hops with a modest bitter finish. Medium bodied and rounded mouthfeel. Suppable and inoffensive (somewhere on the Black Sea, 14.07.2009).

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Small coarse white head quickly disappears completely. Yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Faint sweetish watery aroma with alcohol notes. Dense, sweetish fresh taste of grass. Aftertaste is dry grain and resin. Some bitterness. Not bad, but maybe a little low on taste. (0.5l bottle.)

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle - 500ml. Boring pale gold body with quick-fading white bubbly head. Weak malty/hoppy aroma with flowery hints. Its malty taste carries some wet socks notes. Finish is non-existent. Stay away!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
1,2 l PET as a gift.
Poured clear golden, small white lacing head. Average aroma and flavor of a medium bodied lager beer. Malt, some sweet bready character, sourish yeast, herbal-grassy hop. Average one.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours yellow with a large, but quickly dissipating white head. Generically malty, vaguely sweet aroma with some added funk. From five feet away my wife said, "Smells like rotten eggs." Hmmm. Flavor is pretty inoffensive: a far amount of vacuous malt, not much hops. Kind of a funky aftertaste. Full, creamy mouth feel that doesn’t really fit this beer. I won’t be drinking this one again.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"Abbey Pale Lager". The body is oily, honeyish and too malty (sometimes annoyingly malty). Unfortunately, not much hops in the taste and aroma.
