COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden ale has a distinct Belgian flavor. Slightly sweet with a dry finish that pairs well with most foods. Subtle yet complex flavors give way to an earthy, citrusy tart finish. Ideally served at 45-50F to best reveal its tart complexity with apple, pear, plum skin, and honey finish.

Poured a medium amber with nice lacing. Surprised at the abv on this as it tastes stronger. Decent enough, but probably won’t revisit.

Bottle:   Dirty straw, a little dark, moderate to large foamy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Musty barnish nose, a little citrus, a little floral.   Seems interesting.   Also bready and mealy.   A bit more muted on the tongue, a lighter example.   Straw, wheat, with soft mealiness.   The fruit and floral notes don’t come through that much.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, but leaning on the thin side.   A simple musty mealy and wheaty finish lingers.   Middle of the road.   Smelled a little better than it tasted.   Thanks Bill!

651 ml. bottle. Pours an enormous, rapidly collapsing white head, over a hazy dark gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is pale fruits (pear, apple), light clove, cereal malt....taste is dry, with hints of clove, allspice, hints of pear, finishing dry with hints of pepper in the tart spice bitter finish.....mouth feel light of medium, slightly sticky, moderately high astringency, carbonation makes heavy foam. This beer is terribly over carbonated. Combined with the hazy, almost cloudy appearance this raises the question of secondary fermentation. The commercial description of aromas and flavors have little to do with this bottle. It is dry, crisp, lightly spicy, with minimal fruits tones and an almost harsh finish. BJCP 6/2/10/4/6

Amber color with a golden tint. Clear. White head. Carmely yeasty aroma. Flavor is funky yeast, banana, and bitter toffee. This beer has a potent, steep bitter finish and its quite enjoyable. It draws down clean.

Bomber. Big huge foamy pour. Musty yeasty nose. Taste is lemon, yeast, full of carbonation. A bit young and needs work.
