If you find yourself in a South African jungle it is wise to avoid the Boomslang, a highly venomous tree snake. But when you are back stateside it is wise to seek out Boomslang, the India Pale Lager from Rogness Brewing Company. In this hybrid style, the wonderful hoppiness of an IPA has been enhanced with the crisp, clean nature of a lager. 5 different hop additions and a longer fermentation create a delightful adventure for your taste buds. No mosquito net required. Ideally served at 45 - 50°F.

Clear copper with a thick foamy off white head. The nose is pleasantly grassy like fresh trimmings, with a semi sweet floral note with it. The flavor is unfortunately too bitter and acidic with grassy resin and citric acid, with a too-mellow pale lager malt tone of dry crackers.

Bomber thanks to angrypirate06. Pours with a clear, appropriately burnt orange hued body with an off white head. Aromas are sweet, caramel, pine, artificial watermelon and windex. Flavors are caramel, medium toasted malt, dry, medium bitter, fruity. Pretty flabby and boozy. Confused. Medium carb, thick body.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in Addison. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of orange citrus and biscuit malt notes. Low bitterness. Decent, but it has a slight soapy character as it warms. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
