COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you find yourself in a South African jungle it is wise to avoid the Boomslang, a highly venomous tree snake. But when you are back stateside it is wise to seek out Boomslang, the India Pale Lager from Rogness Brewing Company. In this hybrid style, the wonderful hoppiness of an IPA has been enhanced with the crisp, clean nature of a lager. 5 different hop additions and a longer fermentation create a delightful adventure for your taste buds. No mosquito net required. Ideally served at 45 - 50°F.

Draught. Straw colored pour with a foamy head and excellent lacing. Nose is hay, faint pine and light earth. Flavor is straw, hops, light pepper with a very clean finish. Lively well carbonated mouthfeel. Solid session beer!

Aroma is a combination of citrus and floral. Pours a clear light yellow with with disappearing white head and no lacing. The taste is papery, cardboard, grainy, then a quick bitter finish. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Overall, would not buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A beer that it just what it says it is. Its got all the qualities of an IPA but the lagering yeast lends a lighter body and enables sessionability. The beer is a light golden copper color and clear. The head is thin and white. The aroma, enticing, bitter and airy. Pretty much awesome. Light bitter flavor with a citrus and floral quality to rival any good IPA. The body approaches medium. More than novel. This could be the next hybrid fad.

Draught. Pours crystal clear straw yellow with a thin white head. Earthy and citrusy hop aroma. Lightly musky. Dry and crisp malt backbone, moderate perceived bitterness, fruity hop tones. Light bodied and easy-drinking.
