Dark brown. The thin white head dissapears quickly but is nice enough ti leave a white ring around the perimeter of the glass if you look hard. The.aroma is a.lot of oatmeal and a little bit of funk. The flavor is a lot of gingerbread and raisin amd cinnamon and some thick, syrupy sweetness. I just paid $18 to rate this beer but at least its good. Someone call rehab. No, wait, call the party bus instead. Rock’ ’on!

Bottle:   Deep amber, sediment on the glass bottom, thin to moderate frothy sandy head, little lacing.   Spicy nose, reminds me of spruce tips and necco wafer candies, either the black or the white.   Has a slight anise aspect.   A little like the Anchor Our Special Ale.   Decent malt base, a little bready.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Not sure about oatmeal raisin, but it has certainly a spicy aspect to it that is very similar to Anchor Our Special Ale.   Seems like Spruce tips and some bright mountain shrubby notes with some candyish sweetness.   Decent "Holiday" brew.   Thanks Bill!

Bottle thanks to my secret Santa. Pours a clear deep ruby amber with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a strong potpourri note with raisin and a good amount of sweet grains. Flavor is more balanced with sweet grains and spice supported by a light raisin note.

22oz bottle. Orange amber pour, slight white head. I would have liked this one much more without all the alcohol burn - aromas of cinnamon and other spices. Flavors of cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel, gingerbread.

Sampled at thirdeye11’s birthday party. Glad I got to try this one. The beer pours a red-amber color with a white head. I get a lot of cinnamon in the aroma, about what I have come to expect from a holiday beer. The flavor is a bit more complex. I get some nice caramel malt, as well as some cinnamon and brown sugar notes. A nice spicy holiday beer.

Cloudy brown pour with a lasting cream head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel. Taste is the same spices, nutty, chocolate, but with a big metallic component.
