COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seven different malts and three different hops go into our Porter for a smooth yet complex flavor. Ost offers light roast malt with a rich smoothness and a dry finish. Ideally served at 50-55F to best reveal its chocolate, caramel, coffee, and roasted malt notes.

Okay. You're just sitting there minding your own business pouring caramel syrup down your throat and a guy on PCP beats you to death with a can of pretty good coffee and you like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty much black with a big tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, and light coffee. Big bitter coffee and roast taste with some slight sweetness. Medium bodied. Excellent porter.

This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Poured dark brown, almost black and raised a very robust and long lasting tan head that left good lacing. The nose is roasted malts with coffee, some chocolate, and some citrus hops. Medium to bold in body, and with a rich creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is very rich and well balanced between the coffee, chocolate, and bittering and flavoring hops. Finish is flavorful, dry, and bitter. Excellent porter.

Nice dark color with a little head. Super strong coffee taste that gets stronger in the aftertaste, much too bitter for me. Like drinking super dark coffee black; No sweetness at all. Will not get again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really nice porter with no extra bells or whistles. Mild bitter hops compliment the sweet chocolatey malt.

Bomber. Pours black and thick with a small tan head. Big coffee/chocolate/roasty nose-nice. Taste is the same with a full rich body. Just a bit of a fade on the end. Well done for a young brewery.

A good very drinkable though dry porter. Solid stuff, chocolate, anise, molasses. Black and rich looking. I did the bomber, but that was still a lot of porter. Slight smoke, a very good roastiness. Smooth mouthfeel. Bottle from Steve beerenberger.

Bottled, dark velvety brown pour with creamy tan foam, nice roasty chocolate and dark fruit flavors, milk chocolate malty aroma, nice bitter chocolate finish

On draft at Nobi Public .. . Pours a very deep brown black .. . Medium foam .. . Deep roasted malts and black earth .. . Very well balanced porter .. . . Yeah? Rock and roll is fast, you know? If all goes according to plan, I could be in rehab next Thursday. Tuesday week, Iíll be living on an island with a small Indian boy.

This is one roasted black monster of a porter, at least in appearance, boasting a rich, medium-brown head. It looks especially bad in an English Pint glass. It smells of rich, roasted malts, with more roasted coffee grounds than chocolate and a touch of caramel candy. It smells about as expected for the style, but a little deeper and slightly more complex than your average porter. In the mouth itís a little too thin on the palate, though, offering a warm, bitter overall experience rather than a full, enjoyably rich, thick and roasted flavor. It seems like itís too thin for the heavy amount of roast. Had this been a little thicker, the heavy roasted bitterness would be easier to handle. And if this didnít have such a bitter roasted malt flavor it would be a very easy to drink and enjoyable, light porter. It seems to be on the fence between two worlds and is a little awkward because of it. Although it has somewhat of an enjoyably dry, roasted finish, itís the excessive bitterness in the finish that kills the overall experience. Iíd like to blame it on the hops, but I canít at only 46 IBU. I drank this at the 50 degrees as suggested by Rogness, but Iím thinking this might be better colder. The bitterness just isnít that good at warmer temperatures with this low of an ABV.
