On tap at Jack Macís. Pours a basic brown color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of milk chocolate notes as well as a hint of roasted malt. Unfortunately the flavor is not as good. I get some cocoa character but the flavor is fairly watery and the roasted notes I look for in stouts is not really present. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Needs more body and more roastiness. Hope I get to try another batch of this some day.

Not quite sure what was wrong with this one. Flavor profile started out like a normal dry stout (dark roasted malts, some cacao) -- but quickly turned to a mineral-forward mess. Tastes like aluminum. I thought it might have been hops trying to make an appearance, but nope -- itís just metallic, and it gets worse as it goes along. Might have been a bad batch, but whether or not it was, this was definitely not good.

Aroma of roasted malt. Pours an opaque black with a rapidly dissipating tan head sand no lacing. The taste is dark roasted malt, Belgian dark chocolate, with hints of coffee bitterness. Medium-full body with medium carbonation. Overall this was an excellent stout that I want to drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
