Wow, talk about an aroma! Brown sugar, spice. Sweet but not cloyingly so. Kind of spicy. Not my normal thing, but quite good.

Dark creamy color with a thick brown head. Heavy lacing. You can really smell the chai. Tastes of spicy malts, cocoa, and a long yet smooth hoppy finish. Tasty

Bottle. Nose is full of the expected spice, dominated by cinnamon and cardamom, with a light sweetness. Deep amber with light head. The spice is definitely upfront but restrained enough so as not to be overpowering. I’m not personally a huge fan of chai spices, but this is clearly a well-brewed beer.

Taste is unique - it tastes like spiced tea. Not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the flavors of this beer.

If you know anyone who complains that so-called "spiced" beers don’t contain enough spices give them one of these. Not that it’s the greatest, just that there are arguably excessive quantities of an excessive number of different spices.
3.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 Beerenberger (800) - Fischer, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2013
The nose is primarlly spicy - cardamom, clove, and cinnamon. Pours a copperish-amber with a mostly diminishing off-white head and no lacing. The taste is - whoa - enjoyablely SPICY! Clove, cinnamon, vegetable, and herbs. Pepper and and a grainy flavored were also noted. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, surprisingly enjoyable. I wouldn’t want to drink more than one of them at a time, but very tasty as a single.
