From beautiful silver bottle. Hazy dark golden color. Aroma is grain, malt, and some light citrus. Taste is quite malty with some caramel and corn, and some bittersweet citrus. Fine but not exactly special.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - hazy golden amber with off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malts, bread and metallic hop. Similar in the taste, plus some stewed fruit , light bitterness. Don’t quite know what to make of this. Starts off sort of medium bodied, but thins quite quickly, touch of alcohol. Not bad, but not a favourite.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dull hazy golden pour with fair quick fading layer of white head. Cereal, grassy, earthy, apple, grains. Bland with a touch metallic hop to it. Well balanced not leaning overly malty or bitter. Kinda boring all around, but I guess for the style it’s not horrible.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is caramel, toffee, clove, and mineral water. Taste is sweet malts, honey and a well balanced hop profile that isn?t too complex and finishes smoothly. Light earthy bitterness is a nice touch at finish. Appearance is a slightly hazy amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 ml. capped bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled, off white head, with minimal lacing, over a slightly hazy, light amber (SRM 7) body.....nose is toasted malts, with biscuit, toast, light herbal floral tones, balance to the malts.....taste is cereal, toasted malts with bread, biscuit, leading to light herbal, pine finishing bitterness, balance to the malts.....mouth feel, light of medium body, minimal alcohol, light acid, with high carbonation. This is a pleasant, nicely balanced example of the style. It is not complex, nor very interesting as a style, but falls into the category of "the easy drinking pint". BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a hazy orange amber color with a small head of white foam floating atop the brew. The head fades rather fast leaving a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of some honey and a bit of a grainy smell. Along with these smells are some caramel and citrusy aromas of grapefruit and some orange. Overall very mild and light.
Taste – The taste of the beer begins with a rather crisp and smooth bready taste with hints of a caramel and honey sweetness and a lighter hop flavor of a grapefruit nature. The grapefruit grows stronger as the flavor moves onto the end becoming the predominant hop flavor of the brew. The grapefruit never gets too overpowering however, always staying in pace with the malty flavors of the brew. The malty flavors upfront are of a more bready flavor transition to a more grainy like flavor with a bit of a hay-like flavor more toward the end of the taste. With a little bit of a grassy and herbal flavor also joining the taste at the end, one is left with a crisp but somewhat citrusy and grainy flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness, creaminess, and carbonation for a brew of 5.2 % abv. It balances the citrus and grainy flavors of beer nicely and makes for a rather refreshing brew overall.
Overall - A rather refreshing beer for the most part. I am glad however that I tried it on tap as I paid $ 5.00 for a pint, where if getting a bottle I would have been rather disappointed at spending ~ $12 for a “lighter” beer of its nature. Refreshing and nice but not worth the big price tag for a bottle. Try it on tap if you get the chance.
