One Brew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest Ale was brewed in homage to the work of counterculture author Ken Kesey.* This ale is in the Maibock style of brew. Deep in honey color with a malty aroma and rich, hearty flavor. Made with homegrown hops and malts from Rogue Farms, Independence and Tygh, Oregon. - See more at: http://www.madeinoregon.com/Rogue-One-Brew-Over-The-Cuckoos-Nest-Ale.html#sthash.2nxd6KmY.dpuf

Beautiful bottle. Smells like cereal. Dark copper. Boozy. Dry Nice white head. Sweet honey at first, becomes dry quick. Sipped in hammock in back yard. More importantly I loved the movie, and liked the book even more.

Dark gold. Fruity aroma. Taste- rich malt and tropical fruits dominate. Some champagne flavors too. I liked it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark orange amber in color... Aroma of light caramel, honey malts... Flavor is fairly thin, light bodied mouthfeel... Nutty notes, bitter slightly off spicy malt finish... Not great, but alright ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22. Ugliest damn bottle ever. Pours a crystal clear medium amber with dense and sudsy off white head. Rich earthy leafy caramel nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Earthy sweet caramel mid palate with long ea r thy sweet finish. Shockingly good for rogue.

Interesting: whereas Dead Guy is their maibock-influenced flagship, this is supposed to be a true maibock. I’d recommend going with either a real German maibock or Dead Guy. Or, if you can get your hands on one: XS Dead Guy. This isn’t terrible, but that maltiness you expect doesn’t shine through and it feels like it’s missing a little soul. Well, to the extent that something German can have a soul. (Kidding.) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
