Bomber from World Beer Market. A deep cola with a light brown head of foam. The aroma is lactose & sweet coffee with a bit of roastiness. The taste is bittersweet, coffee, lactose with a Nutella-chocolate finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle from Perry’s. It pours a ruddy dark brown color with a small light tan head. The aroma has some dark bread, hints of coffee and cocoa along with some rather strong jalapeno notes that can sometimes accompany these kinds of beers. The flavor is the same. Mild roasted coffee, bread with noticeable jalapeno and acidity. A bit roasted, nutty and acidic in the finish. The body seems on the light side as well. Overall, not bad but I wasn’t really impressed. It needs to lose the pepper flavors and gain some body.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark orange - brown with a vanishing head and some roast & sweetness in the aroma. Robust roast & bitterness comes through first and ends slightly sweet, roasted, chocolaty, and ever so slightly sour. The body is silky & thin, even a little watery, but has enough substance in its malts to give it an overall good profile. Gets better & better as it warms in the glass. Overall; eh, its ok.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown with a broken off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, coffee, molasses. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a light, slightly watery, liqourice bitter, burnt toffee, coffee, dark chocolate palate and a lingering coffee bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’d prefer a little more body but there is plenty going on flavour wise.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: nearly opaque black with two fingers of light tan head, excellent retention and lacing. (5/5) Aroma: intense coffee, dark malt, mild milk chocolate, dark fruit, light spice. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Full slightly sticky body, moderate-low carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (4/5)
Not bad, although the coffee comes across a bit aggressive. Not bad for Rogue, but as usual they seem to be trying for a level of complexity they’re just not capable of pulling off. (15/20)
